Can anyone become a leader? (born that way or can anyone muster up leadership?)

When I think of leaders I think of people who are high in charisma, intelligence, foundational values/morals/principles.

Share any stories about leaders you guys have found in your life: your boss, a friend, an uncle, etc.

Can anyone become a leader (whether it be a small sports team, a department at work, through family, etc.)?

Is being a leader innate or can it be learned behavior?

It would appear as though, I don’t have the answers right now. It would appear as though I don’t have the answers right now...

Is probably a little bit of both though. There are definitely innate skills, and then of course what’s more likely? Is people just accelerate in terms of learning more quickly in specific areas. However, being a good leader is far more than just a skill I think that is comparable tj others. As it takes willingness tj take risk, however calculated ones and not just at any goal or time. It takes the ability tj make decisions others aren’t willing tj make. It takes standing up to and in front adversity even when people are telling you you’re wrong or not tj do so. Typically it also takes accepting a certain amount of beating or responsibility for your decisions. Most people seem in my experience to be averse to risk. The safest most traveled route is the one they opt for. Security is important... but it all just depends on the amount of willingness you have to accept any outcome even if it’s not a high chance it’ll end favorably. I’d say these attributes mostly aren’t ones you can classify as intelligent or learned... Per-say, of course your ability to try to quantify the risks and make decisions off that is important. However, I’m mainly talking about the willingness, the intuition and so forth. That sort of aren’t a learned trait.

No, not anyone. Some people can't even manage themselves.

Leadership has different roles. I'm in one now, but I don't manage people.

Great post ^ repped

Decisiveness, and being good at it, is a trait I need to hone.
