I can’t put my finger on it… not even abusing the nostalgia factor on the second one could get me really interested.
"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

I think a lot of it is the woke factor, which ruins people psychologically, kills acting ability and makes their behavior appear unnatural and forced because they are always filtering what they say or do through their mind before saying it. Michael Jordan (the actor) is one of those guys:

I enjoyed the first one. I feel like the second one was too corny in bringing back Drago. Like I'm expecting Clubber Lang Jr. in the next one at this point. Plus, the non-boxing storyline was incredibly boring and had no impact on the film itself. The marriage proposal thing was like 20 minutes and no one gave a f u c k. Should have left it alone after the first one. The enjoyment of these films comes from seeing Sylvester Stalone as Rocky - you can only run the "he loses, he trains and comes back to win" it BS so many times.

First one was great.
Second one was lame.
I was hoping Andre Ward would be the final boss.
Instead they did the Drago angle.

Enjoyed both movies but Creed just doesn't feel like much of an underdog story like the Rocky movies.
Movie literally started with him knocking out a top ranked boxer meanwhile Rocky struggled in the beginning with Spiderico lol

Ryan Coogler is a good writer/director.
In my opinion, he's the star of the first Creed movie. His camera work and character work really elevates the first one.
It's a double edged sword though that the first Creed is sort of a repeat of the first Rocky. His screenplay is different enough and the son of Creed is different enough where it isn't.
The second one is the bland one. The directing and the screenplay just isn't that good compared to the first one.
MGM should have waited and had Ryan Coogler do a sequel but now Ryan Coogler is way too busy with Black Panther movies for Marvel lol.

I just started learning how to act, and one of the first monologues I picked is from the movie Rocky Balboa.
“Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that! I’m always gonna love you no matter what. No matter what happens. You’re my son and you’re my blood. You’re the best thing in my life. But until you start believing in yourself, ya ain’t gonna have a life. “
