Sword GTFIH. Is Jason Whitlock right about Black Panther here?

Listen from 5:55 to 6:25.

Is Black Panther actually about the black matriarchy? Is T’Challa a puppet to black women? Are black men being castrated like he goes on to say? He and his guest go on to talk more about the movie after Jason finishes his bit about Steven A.

Didn't think that. It seems like Black Men were in the film revered and respected by the Black women.

It's not uncommon to have to see matriarchs in the African diaspora. Even in stable Black matriarchs the men are respected.

Right now you have a bunch of Shea Butter feminists latching onto white feminists saying Black men are misogynist, homophobic, transphobic (i.e. Black men are the white men of Black people BS) and media only props up moist Black men like Van Jones, Don Lemon, Billy Porter etc as the FACE of Black Men while chastising others.

The only time they care about masculine Black men is if we are shot by the police so they can have another rally to fund bull**** organizations. Seriously look at which organizations BLM ACTUALLY funded. Even many of the victims parents are calling them out.

They’ve got a point. Tchalla did kind of take a back seat in his own movie so other characters could shine. Notably Shuri, Okoye, Nakia, and his mother somewhat. Tchalla was definitely better in Civil War imo.

True but I think they took it too far. A lot of characters overshadowed him in his own movie. Obviously, there were a lot of people who thought Killmonger was better but I left the theater thinking M’Baku and Okoye were all better characters too.
