I've raised quite a few cats, a few I adopted when they were about a couple of days old, still blind, abandoned on the streets.

They all have different personalities. Some cats will scratch you if you annoy them, some won't. Point is, even domestic cats can scratch, or aggressively play with you. If this cat gets pissed off one time, he's done for.
