Whatever you do, don't develop gastritis brahs

Gatritis is just stomach inflammation, but holy **** does a little irritation do a number on you

- Cant eat anything with onions, tomatoes, or anything remotely spicy
- Cant eat certain foods that ARENT spicy, varies greatly from person to person (for example bananas are normally good for gastritis, but they aren't good for me specifically. same for simple **** like applesauce and oatmeal)
- Cant workout (flexing the stomach causes irritation)
- Cant do certain cardio (jogging, running - biking is fine though)
- Have to take like 5 different types of medicine to try and facilitate healing (and the price adds up)
- Dropping weight like a mofo

All of this becauseI ate a little too much after a workout- which I've done post-workout for like YEARS tbh, but some of it just happened to scratch my stomach this time around

Healing process takes over a month, some people say 10 weeks+ depending on how effectively you eliminate triggers in your diet

And dont get me started on how useless doctors are with this ****

This is absolute horsechit. I developed gastritis when I was younger, after a couple years of knocking down two handles of rot-gut whiskey a week. No, op did not get it from "overeating a little bit in one meal" lol.

I had this come up last year and the worst part was feeling there was no end in sight. Constant agony, unable to eat, drink or enjoy anything. Total mind game alongside the pain

Luckily it got better after 4 months. But there is always that looming feeling it will come back

Stay safe srs

I think I had this like 4 years ago. Honestly didn't want to eat because of the fear of my stomach not agreeing with the food. Lost like 30 lbs. Constantly trying to case out where the bathrooms were in public in case I had a flair up. Just felt sick all the time. Wood not recommend.

I've had three attacks of it... doctor brah said my stomach was scarred after an endoscopy during the last time.

It's horrible, and your description of it is dead on. There really isn't a treatment for it unfortunately, all you can do is eat bland foods and wait it out. All of mine took about 2 months to heal.

Drugs may or may not be effective... I got prescribed antacids and took them but they didn't seem to do chit. YMMV. Some basic foods like yogurt helped dull the pain but I have yet to find a silver bullet.

Feels.
antacids i take SOMETIMES if I accidentally eat something that triggers me

I dont use the serious meds like omeprazole etc. since I know it can backfire when you try to get off them

I take supps for digestive help/healing though, zinc and ****
