Mostly no.

I’ll take an ugly truth over a comforting lie 10 times out of 10.

I’d love to believe I’m gonna see my dead relatives and friends again. And that there’s a purpose to life and all that good stuff.

But the more and more you study about life, religion just makes absolutely no sense whatsoever and is an obvious manipulative trick by the brain to believe in fairytales that violate every law in the universe just to get through the goddamn day.

Like Rust Cohle says in True Detective: “Certain linguistic anthropologists believe that religion is a language virus that re-writes pathways in the brain and dulls critical thinking.”

One thing I know for certain. If I were God and I were gonna design a world, it certainly wouldn’t be one where children get cancer. You have to do some serious mental gymnastics to justify that kind of sh!t.

The cold harsh blackpilled reality is that atheism is the religion of the incels and genetic trash.

A lot of incels are atheists I’m sure. But a lot of atheists are also some of the smartest intellectuals on the planet.

Afterlife, reincarnation, and God could be possible irrespective of religion

No one really knows. Some people choose faith in the unknown

Too many consistencies and amazing stories from people who’ve had NDEs for their experiences to all be meaningless BS imho. You don’t have to be religious to have a relationship with God, though for lots of people it does help.

Not in the least. Ignorance truly is bliss.

I have zero doubt I’d be happier if I were religious or had a more positive outlook on life.

But my brain, for whatever reason, seems to gravitate towards learning every ugly truth most people avoid like the plague.

You think you know it’s all bull****. I don’t know it’s not bull****. I’m not saying you’re wrong but I don’t think you can ever really know something on the scale of the universe.
Entire NYPD should go on strike. You'll see then how quickly the mayor changes his tone.
