HBO's Westworld series.
Anybody watch it lately? I never watched it and so i thought i would give it a try. Misc thread on the show has been dead since 2017. I just finished season 2.

I've never seen it either, but heard Season 1 was really good? Thoughts so far?

Season 1 was good. Decent enough to make me want to start season 2.
Season 2 is a complete disaster. Totally fell off the rails as if the writers weren't' expecting to have a second season lmfao. So many fukken plot twist has made it almost unbearable to watch. Plot twisted my interest to watch the series into thin air.

Season two did not interest me at all. Season 1 feels like a complete story though, so I don’t mind. Would still recommend it.

It should have been an 8-10 episode mini series like Band of Brothers or True Detective season 1.
I found that to be the perfect amount of time to develop character arc while not having the chance to burn or drag the show out for too many seasons. Longer than a movie but shorter than a multiple season series.

Thought season 1 was great but went downhill pretty hard with season 2. That episode with all those failed James Delos host attempts in season 2 was amazing though.

Season 1 was incredible. Then it just boiled down to "Oh look, he's also a robot" and turned into absolute garbage.

It's just like true detective. First season is the only season that counts.
