Whiny Amazon Employees
I swear, they finally found an employer that pays their mythical $15/hr and then they whine because they actually have to work. I've never worked for Amazon, so I don't know first hand, but when they talk, it's like "welcome to the working class". Seems to me, Amazon pays but expects you to work. They base their promotions and who they keep based on performance, not your gender identity, skin color, because you are an immigrant, or that you choose to have sex with your same sex, they don't GAF, and they can't handle it. I have two friends that work for Fex-ex, another that works for UPS. They LOL about the gripes and say especially when you're new there is no slack there either. They say a lot of Amazon rejects that didn't make it there will apply with them but they know better not to hire them because they won't make it there either.
Anyone work for Amazon before? Anyone else find their gripes to be laughable?

Never worked for Amazon but $15/hr is poverty anywhere but rural America.

They should be allowed to take a bathroom break every half hour while being on their phones. That company is working them to the bone.
I swear people get way too comfortable slacking on the job, and hate working. I love the people that say they hate their job, or are miserable, so you tell them to quit and find something else. Then they hit you with the "uh, well, ya see...." just LOL.

15 an hour is garbage for manual labor in America. There has been no time in history where the top CEO dogs have had this much wealth and power. Freaking bosses are going to the moon while employees are forced to beg for tips and suck c0c< on the weekend to pay for their Netflix.
The BLM movement and anti-white revolution was in part fomented due to the 1% backlash movement 10 years ago. Need to cloud and clout to divide the people from the REAL PROBLEMs so the Hunter Biden's can sell their art and fook their widow'd sisters with impunity.. Sadly - it's working.

Actually Amazon has long had a reputation as a terrible place to work. Long before $15/hr wage and not just limited to the working class but for upper management as well.
They’re known for having 0 work-life balance for their employees
I’ve heard it enough that I don’t think this one is about people being lazy. It’s too widespread for that to be the issue

"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

The only way to avoid higher cost which will result in higher product costs will be to pay the lower employees more, and expect the higher employees to continue doing what they do for less. Excuse unproductive behavior and just put the load on the productive people. See where that goes.
Personally, I worked one place a long time. Some guy with an "oppressed" uneducated poor background got a management position. Started bringing in his little incompetment idiots and figured he would just dump the garbage they couldn't do on me, and the way it worked out, they would be making six figures, I would take a pay cut. He told me if I want to make the same money, I just need to get faster and better at what I do now. Said something about me having better educational opportunites and crap, srs, so I din't need more money. Fuk that, I didn't even give notice. Got my stuff and left. His guys tried, but made some mistakes which ended up costing tens of thousands, ended up getting fined by corproate, lost their bonus. He was fired. Now, I'm hired by a competing branch, and we are making profits, and that location is having to answer for why there was a flip. Those guys are once again losing their jobs, having to find someplace to work that will excuse what they are lacking. I get emails and phone calls of people who want me to come to work. Guess who will end up ahead? Nothing a BLM revolution will do.

The irony of people getting paid to take a dump while they whine about the plebs on their phone not being able to have a bathroom break and calling them "entitled" can't be missed, can it?

It's a stepping stone job that pays 2x the federal minimum in poor areas of the country. I lived in rural america for awhile and when the nearest big city going a fulfillment center and Amazon drivers it was a god send for people who could get a job with them.

As far as pay goes they shouldn’t expect more than a scale that will pay them fair , inflation adjusted wages for their skill set/knowledge level either.
I’m all for unions if they’re run right and the workers are productive like in the skilled trades but I understand why people are hesitant because they’re susceptible to corruption and problems.
I remember Starbucks running a video on workers rights/unions that was apart of their orientation and they compared the IBEW and UA to them lmao
A lot of workers started protesting for six figures because they felt they deserved what union electricians and hvac/plumbers make lmao
No dude…. they get paid so well because they’re very well trained and provide a vital skilled trade in commercial and industrial systems
You don’t deserve 50/$hr making coffee and working a register standing around all day , neither does the manager

For the opie on why most private union aren’t just whiney bitch, lazy employees:
A journeyman who organized in awhile back after being at a big non union company a long time didn’t last two days on my job. He quit yesterday before my foreman had a chance to send him off the job and recommend termination to the super intendant
It’s Not my place to say he was in the wrong but my foreman hated the fact I did all the work up in the lift by myself with hardly any supervision while he either stood around all day on his phone , walking around or running to the bathroom.
He already knew his pattern because he worked with him on another job but when he saw me running the 20 ft 3 inch sticks of emt all by myself he got pissed.
He came up to me after lunch and looked angry. I thought I ****ed up because I thought I’m supposed to get the **** worked out of me as an apprentice and the journeyman is allowed to just stand there and watch the whole time if he wants.
He told me I’m killing it but he’s pulling me off to help someone else with fire alarms. My journeyman was being a unproductive lazy sack and was supposed to be helping me run it.
Then the dude asked the other JW if we where working today in the parking lot Friday morning before the foreman showed up.
When he did and we where signing in he left saying he had something going on at home and couldn’t work. Don’t remember the specifics but it was really lame.
My journeyman already called it telling us that we’ll be 2 down Thursday before we left ( another guy took the day off but in advance for something legitimate. )
Then at lunch time he calls the shop and quits because by saying the union isnt for him.
My foreman spilled the beans that this guy only got the call for our company because he knows someone in the office and is friends with his previous foreman.
Nepotism will only save you so far when your reputation is trash. Doesn’t matter how knowledgeable you are. Not in this local.
I can’t speak for all ibew locals but I know if I **** up in my apprenticeship at all I can be docked a scale raise, suspended from working , or dropped completely and kicked out if the board seems it so.
Any reason really. The standards and expectations are high. The ibew doesn’t protect the lazy and apathetic.
The pay and benefits not only match the skills but the high expectations as well.
If you’re a journeyman and aren’t worth what they’re paying , you’ll be riding the books waiting for your next call and get a bad name at the hall if it happens often.
I’m sure other trade unions like the UA have the same expectations for their journeyman and apprentices.
Yes there are locals that let the ****heads and the lazy work and get away with stuff but it’s the minority.
Dunno what’s gonna happen to that guy , he came from non union and was running work so I hope he didn’t leave on bad terms with berg.
Another thing OPie , shops micromanage you in the ibew with material data sheets.
They say they’re used to track costs and usage but don’t make the numbers that need to be ran everyday ……. You’ll be sitting at home as well.

From what I understand, it’s your average warehouse job. But the complaints come because a lot of soft men and women apply thinking they’re gonna be Silicon Valley tech employees working for Amazon! when in reality they may as well be working at the chicken processing plant down the street.
