my follow through is longer than my backswing so no idea what that means..

as much as I advise people to get instruction on the swing, I do think you can make your own way with the short game to an extent. They were all stone dead.

too much body, not enough hands, no touch whatsoever. do a little forward press too, helps get some wrist action in there. also recommend a shorter backswing with more acceleration.

as with any shot, even a conservative one, your focus should be on being aggressive. attack that fkn pin with your chips and putts. doesn't mean hit it harder, it's just the proper mentality to have in golf and in life as a whole.

ive seen a few plus handicaps recently who do this no hinge longer backswing style. We tend to have very tight lies on uk courses, you have to be extremely precise if you are going to start flicking your wrists through it. As it is mine check and they go in the air, so Im sticking with it
