bros im turning 30 in a couple days and im freaking out! (srs)
i just dont want to be leaf
i used to identify as being "the young guy" at work, in public places, etc
liked being called "young man" by the older folk
eating anything I desire
drinking as much as I want
having fun
now I gotta be a serious man now
eat green peas and lean chicken
have 1 glass of wine, but only on the weekends ofc
focus on boring work chit and discuss the news
I just cant deal with this bros
I want to be young forever

I’ll be there in a few years and already get uneasy thinking about it.
I guess the old cliché rings true. It sucks to get old but it’s better than the alternative.
Plus 30 really isn’t that old. Men can retain their vitality into their 50s these days.

I never felt better physically and financially and I turned 30 this past March. It ain’t so scary.
But then again I never drank in my life.

You are young and life is long, and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
you run, and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Why are you scared OP please explain. I'm turning 29 next year and don't feel worried about being 30, I thought 30's were prime time for men and it's women who get afraid of their 30's as they have more pressure to settle down with their biological clocks. Should I be scared too?

bro over the last few years ive been going through the same thing. im turning 29 on the 10th.
but honestly the key is to take care of yourself. i dont drink, i smoke week off and on, but i eat overall pretty healthy, gym 4-5x a week. and skin care is important. my only issue is hair loss, which i got a hair transplant in May and on fin now. because of poor hair and scalp care (use to shampoo everyday, sometimes twice if showering twice) and 4 years of stress and little sleep.
but im focusing on keeping my face young now with the right moisturizers and sunscreen.
ppl say i look younger than i am so that's good. just the key is to eat healthy and just take care of yourself.

The fear of turning 30 is understandable, as you feel like you are no longer legit "young" but once you get there and into your early 30s you'll see that life that carries on as it did for the most part. With more people living into their 90s and even 100s, you realise that you are still youthful and are noway near slowing down.
I don't even fear turning 40 next summer (yet, at least). I just try to use the time productively and progress in life. If you are feeling aimless or underachieving then that is somewhat seperate.

The world is big however your life should be even bigger than that world at your age.

Turning 30 was no big deal. I'm 33 now and in the best shape of my life. I also look young, I get hit on by college aged broads all the time.

Are you financially stable? Thats the most important thing. If you are a coporate slave then now is the time to start thinking about other forms of income. Stability and health make sure to keep both of them in check.
