Not Misc standards where anything under 6'4" is manlet but by real world standards

Yeah I would say it is, I am 5’7 and some change. It hasn’t held me back in life at all, I have other attributes going for me. But yeah I feel fairly short, 5’7 is in the 21st percentile for men so you will be shorter than 8/10 men at that height which seems about right in my experience.

If you live in an area with a high Hispanic and/or Asian population you will probably be comfortably average or slightly above average. However if you live in a predominantly white area you are going to feel short. This is assuming of course you are actually 5’7, lots of guys 5’5-5’6 range try to claim 5’7 which is a bit annoying. I’ve met several people who insist that I am 5’9 because they either don’t know their own height or they are used to really short guys claiming to be 5’7 or 5’8.

The average human male height of the entire planet (Earth) is 5'5 or 5'6, so technically, by globally standards 5'7 is average or just a little above average.

depends where you are. 5'7 is definitely manlet for white population. okay for asian, hispanic and african countries.


all these world stats are useless because they measure everyone (i.e. super old people that are no longer in the dating pool, etc.). It's not a true comparison of 'average' to what you are competing against en masse.

Yes. I'm 5'8 and the only comments I've ever gotten on my height when they've been made (that I remember) relate to me being short, not tall. I've literally been in a social circle where some girls were talking about taking up rowing and one of them said "oh, yeah, I'd love a rower boyfriend, especially with how tall they are." Shen then stared at me whilst speaking to our friend "yeah, I need a boyfriend whosetall.Atallguy's what I want." It's not like I was even trying to hit it so it's not like it was a subliminal "stop trying it on with me" when I barely spoke with her, but she just felt the need to say that schit to me.

Being short and ugly is a death sentence.

I'm saying that if you are out dating in a white country, your average competition is going to be a 6'0 dude with 5/10 face and semi-chitty physique. go to a bar or club (i.e. single people your age trying to meet others) and count how many dudes your age are your height or shorter. hint: you will need only one hand.

My uncle was a balding "manlet" who happened to be tough enough to fight the most dangerous boxer in his time and did just fine... He served in WW2, made it home alive and well, found good-paying steady work, married a beautiful and loving woman, raised a beautiful, successful (and normal) family, stayed in touch with good friends and family and was one of the most genuinely caring men I've ever known!!

I'd say being bald and short didn't phase him in the least...he had a hell of a lot going FOR him, and he made the most of it- of what he could control. Find and use your talents/skillsets boyos. If you always focus on your "shortcomings" then you won't radiate self-confidence IRL where it counts more, for most.


Why do you let these tall guys keep calling you manlets and trying to make you feel inferior? How do you do in the real world??

Somewhere around 5'4" means it truly is over.

Then the guys that see you as "just compensating" aren't really GROWN MEN, are they? They are probably emotionally/mentally immature and DON'T deserve too much thought if they are primarily focused on another man's height. They have insecurities too, just like everyone else.
