But more like, neutral and extremely easy to influence towards either good or evil?


Otherwise, how can you explain several times in history such as those listed in the thread title? You could find examples of hundreds of terrible doings by all different races in all areas of the world doing inhuman acts to others, acts that during those times were believed by them to be completely normal and correct.


History is taught by the winners, but everyone thinks they are doing the right or correct thing when they are doing it, even if hundred of years later they are known as utterly evil.


In more recent history, the Nazi Germany in particular stoods out. How were civilians on board with the torture and killing of so many innocent people? How do you convince an army of hundreds of thousands of soldiers to be part of such a genocide? This **** happened not even 100 years ago, and it was done by people that are exactly the same as people walking around right now. Modern day germans arent genetically different than those in the 20's, 30's and 40's. The fuk was going trough their mind?

You're wrong in the part that you say Modern Day Germans aren't different than the ones previously (in the 30s-40s).

The strongest, most alpha and most dedicated Wehrmacht soldiers died in that ware because they 1000% were dedicated to the cause and defending their homeland.

The ones that survived were the ones that were weak and gave up to the allied forces. Those weak are the ones that went on to re-produce.

We're living in it right now. Look at the hysteria towards the "anti vax." The "white supremacist's" and the list goes on. The governor general in my province actually told Canadians to tell on one another if they were breaking covid laws. And guess what? People actually did.

Not buying this argument. Pretty sure alpha nazi soldiers went to other countries and impregnated a bunch of women, youd see other countries with a bunch of psychos if that were the case. Physically there are as fit or better/bigger than in the 40's and 50's, and german mentality is still recognizable in all sports in the world, those dudes are machines.

This isnt about genetics. This is a sociology problem.

despots make the rules and influence the public sentiment. so more like "evil" being a product of psychopaths who shouldn't be in power since megalomaniacs often rule with an iron fist and try to impose their radical worldviews on everyone else by any means necessary. this is why things like the UN and EU are necessary to put checks and balances on these sort of people gaining too much power through global sanctions and regulations

Nazi Germany was basically conform or die. In most of these scenarios it's not that people are necessarily Okay with what's happening it's that the alternative is a bullet to the brain or a noose around the neck.

Pretty much this, underrated comment. To a large extent we're still feral animals (some much more than others though) underneath this veneer of civility.
