No the whole chad thing came about when black supremacy started to hit our shores. Its like a derogatory term for minorities and betas to contextualize their ego into a more comedic cuck sense by framing people who are attractive way beyond their league (advantages and benefits of good looks) and to quantify them more neutral on the hierarchy (which is very lopsided and unfair) and try to make guys who are super attractive and get all the girls a meme as a simp defense mechanism.

Its not necessarily an athlete. Its more like a type of guy. The type typical pretty girls would choose (in spite of ghetto people pushing interracial obsession)

Its pretty much like Chad Michael Murray from One Tree Hill. Its literally kind of the origin of the character. Its a common blonde or light haired cute young American guy with 10/10 aesthetics.

The rest is all extra cultural baggage and people trying to cope with what hot normal girls prefer.

That Chad was most often described as a guy at Starbucks wearing a white t-shirt, blue Adidas windpants and slides, and his counterpart was Trixie who wore giant sunglasses and drove a Jetta because she couldn't afford a BMW yet.

Chad is literally the embodiment of good looks; and what good looks means to people, weather its threatening, goofy/silly/tongue in cheek, celebratory, respectful, its a telling sign of peoples insecurities and place in the aesthetic hierarchy.

Everyone identifies differently towards the term. To a lot of people it hurts. They want to be the "it" guy archetype.

Again, youre confusing the term jock and chad.

If a chad was just a jock then why not just keep using the work jock? The archetype is a lot more common and basic.

Chad is more nuanced and specific than that. Its pretty much a light brown/blonde hot white guy with classic American good looks who is generally cool and likable (but also hated due to jealousy)
