Weighted Chinups causing elbow pain?

Anyone else get elbow pain/tendinitis from weighted chinups? I worked my way up to 45lbs but developed pretty bad pain on what I would guess is the brachioradialis tendon….I can recreate the pain by flexing my left arm at a 90 degree angle and twisting my wrist clockwise.

How else are you supposed to make big back gains with the exception of bent over rows if you can’t do deadlifts due to spine issues????!! Machines don’t really stimulate muscle growth/DOMS for me….

Fuarking sucks heading into my 30s brahs I swear…………

Use a neutral grip and train your grip strength
A young bull and an old bull were standing atop a hill looking at a bunch of heifers in a field below.

The young bull says "Let's run down this hill and fuk one of those heifers."

The old bull replies "No. Let's walk down there, and fuk them all."

I'd just give it a rest for 3 weeks and then build up again slowly. Tendonitis doesn't get better if you keep aggravating the issue (personal experience - srs). Plus, you won't lose any strength gains in that time frame.

My **** was messed up for about 6 months a couple of years back. Killed my grip strength. Doing those stretches throughout the day made a big difference. Wish I'd have found it months earlier.

I get elbow pain if I do too many pullups, especially if I incorporate weighted pullups. They’re GOAT, but yeah, seem kinda chitty for elbows

Weighted Chins are only good if you want bicep growth. Weighted pull-ups are better for your back and elbows.
