Probably a martini to start*, then a glass of white wine with dinner, then some Tooheys New (basic Aussie beer) since I'm playing poker online with friends and can't get too rinsed. If the game doesn't go ahead I'll probably smash the whole bottle of wine and maybe have a beer or two after or bourbon and coke.
* 100ml gin, 20ml dry vermouth, stirred, into a chilled cocktail glass, garnish 3 green unpitted olives on a cocktail stick.

What are you rinsers cooking to sop up the booze? I'm making Mrs Beer's favourite dish, I'm not super keen on it because too much cream, but she loves it:
- soften finely chopped onions or scallions in a big lump of butter
- add garlic and mushrooms, cook until garlic is fragrant
- add cream, white wine, chicken stock powder, salt, pepper, simmer until somewhat reduced
- add smoked chicken beast and sundried tomatoes, warm through
- dump in fresh fettucine, stir through
- serve
