A question to the anti vaxers (srs)

In your opinion, how long will it be until the negative side effects will start to come out in those who had the jab.

Additionally how long would have to pass with no major side effects forthcoming for you to reconsider your stance on the jib jab.

Just wanting to understand your guys position, no hate, no mockery, just curious.

For me, i have no opinion about when or if we'll see more major sides - i don't know, and there's no data on the long term effects and that's exactly the problem. I'm well educated, and i don't think it's unreasonable to opt out of a vaccine that i don't really need, when the long term effects are completely unknown, even though it may end up being fine.

The way you're approaching this is backwards in my opinion - you seem to imply that unless there's proof it isn't safe, we shouldn't have skepticism... whereas i think the sensible approach, and usual approach is to prove something IS safe long term before giving it to human populations. This is the entire purpose in the clinical trial system, and why many drugs take so long to be approved.

Why would i want to use the most poorly tested vaccine in history (in temporal terms, at least), that doesn't even finish stage 3 clinical trials until 2025? I would consider it in 2025 if the clinical trial data looks good, but again i reserve the right to reject it if i wish - it's not really anybody's right to tell me what i put in my body.

I think it's great we have the option of a vaccine for those who fall into a very vulnerable category or simply those who want it, but it should remain just that - an option, especially given the low mortality of covid.

What worries me more than the vaccine is the coercion, nobodies life should be made near impossible to live unless they take a vaccine that doesn't even finish its stage 3 clinical trials for years. I believe in freedom and liberty, and what i'm seeing from many governments, but especially the US right now is honestly horrifying to me.

Also, this view doesn't make me an 'anti-vaxxer', it makes me 'anti-guinea-pig'

1. Being anti THIS vaccine in YOUR BODY, doesn't make you anti vax. If I don't like one black person am I a racist? If you know that don't push the term around like the media.
2. I would consider the (relatively low) possibility of death as a side effect. Is that major?

I am being slightly tongue-in-cheek. But I would like you to inform those who have lost loved-ones post vaccination as there being no "major" side effects.

FYI my GF has had both vaccinations, I did nothing to stop her because I'm not her parent. She had a raised heart rate for one day, here's hoping nothing else comes of it.

Don’t think there will be any mass noticeable negative effects, just don’t think there are any actual positive ones either.

Biggest issue for me is it does not stop transmission and delta runs right through it. Other variants could be the same - there were 17 last I checked. Could be a lot more that just haven't been isolated.

Same mane. I can deal with tattoos because they are basically just scratching the surface of the skin. But blood tests, cannulars, injections etc.... I just end up crying and backing out. I let a tooth rot in my face for over 5 years because I was too scared of having it pulled without pain relief.... and also too scared to have an anaesthetic injected. Lmao

1) Plenty of side effects have already come out. It's not some bioweapon where half of the participants will just die off in a few years.
2) Never. I wouldn't consider taking a vaccine for a flulike virus until maybe I'm 80 years old.

I’m not anti vax if you wanna get it, get it. I just don’t feel the need to do it currently

1. Who knows, which is the problem. Some might take years.

2. Is that even possible at this point? There are major side effects - people are dying. Young healthy people and enough that you can't just discount them all and say it is a big coincidence.

Here is when I would take the jab -- when there is some long term research, the environment shifts from censorship to people openly being able to talk about them honestly and when I was at an age or physical situation that covid itself represented a significant threat to me personally. The more of a threat covid is to me, the more willing I am to err on the side of the vaccine.

Were I 80, a potbellied diabetic and in a wheelchair, I'd take it right now.

I do not know for sure, but from what I have seen - these mRNA vaccines react poorly, sometimes very much so, with some people and it seems like the more shots the worse it is. People who complain or have issues, it sure seems like the second shot was worse than the first. Once boosters become more of a thing, that will put my theory to the test - that the more people get exposed to this, the more likely they will reach whatever genetic/situational threshold and break down with some kind of autoimmune or blood clot issue. If my guess is right, with boosters, we will see even more situations with people having problems with it. Even if it's covered up like I strongly suspect a lot of it is now, if it's more, more will come to light.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

DES (a previously FDA approved drug) took 15-20 years for the negative reactions occur when it started causing ovarian cancer in the daughters of the mother’s who took it. There is evidence that it also affects the granddaughters as well.

So much this. And I think it muddies the issue, perhaps intentionally. It is possible to supportpeoplebeing allowed to be vaccinated by choiceand even to believe thatbeing vaccinated is the right choice for some peopleAND to also believe thatvaccine passports and mandates are totalitarian and at least bordering on immoral.

Right. And Geer's assertion that widespread vaccination during an active pandemic would increase the number of variants thus increasing the odds of a more severe/novel mutation seems to be occuring.

There are a few different known avenues of escape from antibodies:

What happens if we get a 'bingo" with a more severe variant that hits all 4 escape routes?
According to Muller's ratchet, we should expect the ordinary process of evolutionary mutation to also lead to the virus tripping over itself. As random mutations that do not immediately harm the ability of a virus to survive pile up, the probability that further mutation results in an organism that can no longer survive piles up. This further puts weakening evolutionary pressure on a highly virulent asexual organism. This tendency works to our advantage---so long as we don't screw it up.

Sadly, either those running the mass vaccination program don't get it, or they just don't care to be honest about it.

It seems more likely that the sudden emergence of this "variant factory" story is a coordinated response to warnings about leaky vaccines put forth by vaccine expert Geert Vander Bossche, echoed in basic principle by evolutionary biologists Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying, along with evidence of dwindling vaccine efficacy. More importantly, it makes no sense. In order to understand why it makes no sense, consider the following contrasting scenarios:

1. In an unvaccinated population, mutations occur at random producing a wide genetic spread with very few progeny resulting in long lasting lineages (Muller's ratchet), with a selection pressure that favors those variants that can (a) win the competition of replication among its cousins within a host, and (b) not kill the host so that it can thrive in new hosts.

2.In a highly vaccinated population, mutations occur at random, but the genetic spread among versions of the virus is narrowed to those that can evade immunity, which has now been made more uniform among the vaccinated population. This further encourages such lineages even when they would not have won out within individual hosts in competition among its cousins. Such evasion increases chances of reinfection.

To be clear: every host is an evolutionary factory for viruses. What should concern us is the nature of streamlining of the process. A picture (even when it represents an oversimplification) is worth a thousand mutations. Variants that can escape immunity are shown in green. The others fail to pass through the sieve that represents the totality of a host's immune system.
On the emergence of the variants:
- TheAlpha variant emergedin the UK in October, which waswhen Oxford-AstraZeneca was holding vaccine trials there.

- TheBeta variant emergedin South Africa, and was first detected in December, 2020,at the tail end of trial periods for both Oxford-AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccines. This variant carries three mutations in the spike protein.

- The Gamma variant was first detected in Japan, but soon after in Brazil, making the origin a little harder to determine. But since Japan has had far lower viral spread than Brazil,it makes the most sense that Brazil was the source. Both Oxford-AstraZeneca and Pfizer trialed their vaccines in Brazil.

- TheDelta variant was first detected in Indiain October, 2020.India hosted numerous vaccine trials including one for Oxford-AstraZeneca and one for Covishield.

It is noteworthy that variants of interest did not emerge during the early stages of the pandemic, despite mass spread of SARS-CoV-2 around the globe. That's a pretty huge sample size of unvaccinated people. But those that have emerged did so in geographies where vaccine trials were held---that is several variants from a far smaller genetic pool.

i doubt long-term side effects will be linked to it

i think what will change public opinion most likely will be the constant need for boosters and the lack of actual stopping of the spread

the unstoppable consensus that could form is that the vaxs are not needed anymore, or ever, and they are perpetuating the virus' mutation whislt herd immunity is being stopped.

Dear OP. Most "anti vaxxers" refuse to get the jab purely out of the fact it shouldn't be jammed down our throat. Do I think the vax helps compromised people with the seriousness of covid? Yeah.. Would I have serious side effects if I did get it? Probably not.... Do I NEED to get it? No. I have never had the flu vaccine, and had the flu once when I was 11. Id rather build my own immune system up to it if i do get it, or maybe ive already had it and was asymptomatic?

Yo this guy nailed it, repped.

That's all well and good for you to say, but don't pretend like there aren't tons of anti-vaxxers who are making positive claims.

Lots of youngish people around me that got the vax reported serious flu-like symptoms, high fever, nausea and vomit etc hours after taking it. Saw a dude from my company almost pass out 1 hour after taking it.

They were all fine a couple of days later, sure, but still, if the body reacts that badly to something being injected into it that statistics prove to me that i dont really need it, then im not gonna take it.

TappingTheZen nailed it pretty much. Nothing more needs to be said.
"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."
