Do they mention how they will be checking? From what i know they will be scanning a qr bar-code which will check some sort of database.

That is just what ive read though... if its a visual check that business employees do then its something i can easily work around.

From the looks of it, it seems to be a visual inspection. Even if they implement the vaccine app on your phone, I think it's still probably a visual check. Could be wrong and you might have to have your QR code scanned to make sure it's valid? no idea. But that won't be until Oct 22nd. well, looks like no gym for me. there might be some businesses that risk the fine, not sure how bylaw officers can completely enforce this.

im assuming the risk of being fined will be enough of a deterrent for small businesses that are already hurting from all the lockdowns.

How generous of your government to punish those small businesses again after all the lockdowns. Reducing their potential customer base by half seems par for the course to completely ruin your economy and any chance of a restaurant or bar surviving. Nobody is gonna actually investigate anything unless given a reason to do so. Whatever you do, just keep quiet about it and stay under the radar and you will be fine. They don't have the manpower, will, or organization to go around checking businesses and enforcing anything. Majority of cops also won't give a fuk unless ordered to check a specific place/person.

possible, I think this probably affects gyms the most tho as I would imagine there's probably a larger segment of unvaccinated there. i'm probably sure you can find some places that may risk it. $1000 is a lot but isn't at the same time and there's a chance that courts are clogged up and courts don't have the time of day to check these so they get thrown out, or are deemed to be against the charter under discrimination. I'm not a lawyer so idk don't take my word for it. honestly i'm willing to fork over a few hundred dollars for a year membership at a gym so that's half their money paid right there. but it seems like the courts nowadays are just bringing the hammer down on people who disobey. just kinda sick of this clown world right now to be honest.

part of me is like just take the chit because I don't believe it's some bill gates 5G network bio-weapon that is the mark of the beast. significant long-term effects? it's been almost a year and it doesn't seem like people are dropping dead left and right. and it would just be easier and to have some sense of normalcy in a world that has been far from normal.

but part of me is like yeah, this chit will never end regardless, why am I letting govt get in the way of what is a medical decision? i'm a 29 year old healthy individual i'm more likely to get struck by lightning than be hospitalized. the chit is far from effective from preventing spread and getting covid, it's a weak vaccine that will require booster shots constantly so where does it end? i fully know it's a clown world and just don't want to follow the proverbial dangling carrot so to speak so it's become more of a phuck you sort of deal. I'd probably feel really chit for caving into it as well. not gonna say I don't have a line that is drawn from where I will take it but I think at this point it will take a lot, idk. every province and territory will literally implement this chit so there is no where to go, just trying to wait it out hopefully maybe until the point triple vaxxers turn on double vaxxers, lol.

This is literally almost unenforceable unless they start sending in bylaw agents undercover or people narc and complain on social media.

If you refuse to show proof of vax, they just don't let you in. But even if a business doesn't, how is anyone there going to know? No way a bylaw officer is going to walk into a restaurant or gym and suddenly demand that everyone produce their papers.

Plus courts aren't even touching this stuff. I know a gym owner who got 25k in fines for staying open last year and he has yet to see a court room or have to pay anything.

I heard they're going to use plain clothes enforcement officers pretending to be customers to see if they get asked. Even if the likelyhood is super low just the threat will be enough to scare businesses into going along with it. Which I think is the point.

Just came back from montreal.
you need to be FULLY vaxxed (2 doses and proof of both) and show drivers license or photo id to get into restuarants there as well as other places like biodome etc.

my gf forged the 2nd dose proof since I only had 1 dose so far. Had no probs.
Can probably easily make fake ones then in that case..

It is what it iss mane =(

i feel like there isn't anything they wouldn't do and anything is on the table. they certainly don't have enough bylaw officers and how many of them will enforce this. but the threat of undercover might be a deterrent.

also some businesses are run unstaffed at certain times, how are papers supposed to be produced when it is not staffed?

People absolutely will report businesses that don’t comply. Liberals are insufferable whack jobs with nothing better to do. I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve seen people ask on social media where they can report a business because someone wasn’t wearing a mask inside.

Places like Goodlife are right now only asking to see your proof once, then they will store it in their system that you are vaxxed without making a copy of your proof. Other gyms are doing similar things. Their asses are covered if you decided to get yourself approved that one time in some way or another.
