I see a lot of complaints about this show. There probably is an element of wokeness to it, but when I watched the trailer the moral of the story seemed to really be “trying to unite the races through the lens of a little black boy in the 60s” rather than just Hollywood blaming white people for everything. If they hadn’t jacked a classic television show and just created something new instead, I think this one would actually be good. Everybody Hates Chris was basically this concept and it was great.

I mean I like Dule Hill he seems like a decent guy but I’m mostly concerned that the role of Winnie will be given to a HTC lady who frequents chipotle prior to shooting episodes and she will arrive at the set with a loaded colon and proceed to leave the cast bathroom uninhabitable after farting out a vile fudge atrocity that clogs the toilet horribly and so none of the other cast members will be able to relieve themselves and so they will all be rushing through their lines with off looks on their faces because they are all prairie dogging chocolate anacondas and this all may make the show unwatchable

Gotta replace every famous white character across history with another race, or at least make them gay / trans. That way when they actually go through with a white genocide, they can pretend whites never existed after having replaced everything they put into society.

Not saying this is actually the reason, it's just retards chasing the woke dollar, but I'm sure people out there obsessed with "equity" would LOVE this scenario playing out. I personally don't mind seeing a black family's perspective during the 1960s but couldn't they call it another title? Why piggyback off of a classic? "Wonder years" was the perspective of the Arnold Family. For the new black family, I would have titled it something more related to the time period like, "The time of our lives" or "Wind of Change" or "Everyday People".
