Dealing With Misery

I’m completely miserable, I do these odd jobs like landscaping, fencing, cleaning houses, etc. I work much of day, sometimes my body is in pain, I have almost no energy to workout. On top of that my permit expired so I need to renew my permit, so I can attempt the driving license test again since I failed the first time.

Nothing brings me joy besides sexual things, no regular activities evoke any real emotion in me. I think I have a personality or development disorder. Aside from caring about certain family members, I feel incapable of anything other than superficial feelings like pleasure, arousal, disgust, amusement, hatred, etc.

I find it hard to find meaning in anything anymore, the last few years have been some of the toughest times of my life. Despite all this I have remained unbroken, but the stress and repetitiveness of work..the pressure of getting things together, it is really wearing me down.

Also my relationship of 5 years ended a few months ago, that is a long story. I’m talking to another girl now, she is the biggest positive thing in my life right now.

Life is meaningless.

You have have to cope with that.

That's called cope.

Yea, you can create whatever synthetic meaning you want.

At the core it's all meaningless.

That has to be accepted.

I’m just desperate for cash, I don’t really have time to go to trade school. I made bad decisions when I was younger and I’m playing catch up at 24.

The meaning of life is what we assign it, even that is arbitrary. But I’m having a hard time even assigning that arbitrary meaning at this point.

I hear you.

Just stay busy, and try to avoid thinking about it.

Time will pass, and so will your current circumstances.

This, right here, is your biggest problem.

You will end up needy or codrpendant

You need to find a hobby you can work at semi consistently.

Have you tried actually thinking about what you want in life? Career wise, pick a profession. Find out how to get it. Do smaller goals etc to help get u there. None of your activities have purpose that lead to something bigger. You're just moving through life with little existence. Change it.

I started to feel I was becoming needy but I was aware of the issue so I put a stop to it before it became obvious. It’s not an issue at this time, I have some hobbies though.

This won’t get any better as you get older if you don’t find a purposeful way to make cash. Go back to school get a degree in a subject you have (at least some small amount) of passion for

No because I don’t care, I’m just trying to accumulate enough money to get a decent apartment or a small house. I used to have dreams and aspirations to be a high level boxer, I used to box from the time I was 16-20, was training with some really good guys at a well respected gym. But circumstances took me elsewhere, only a very small percentage of people can make a living in that sport and there is so much risk involved. I still hit the bag and train here and there to keep the dust off but any chance of me going anywhere with that as a career had sailed. I think I realized that years ago and once I realized I wasn’t going to be able to pursue my dream it lead to me caring very little about any other work I did, because no matter what I wouldn’t be passionate about it.

Romans 8:19-23
19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the children of God; 20 for the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and will obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 We know thatthe whole creation has been groaning in labor pains until now; 23 and not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly while we wait for adoption, the redemption of our bodies.

Get certified to be a coach give lessons etc. Pass what you know onto someone younger and see where it goes. Start it off as a side thing. I'm not sure how to go about that, but anywhere involving action is a start. It sounds better than chit side jobs right?
