Yeah bro. I had a 9mm kidney stone (ded fkn srs) when I was 25. It was terrible. Was in the hospital getting pumped full of dilauded for 24hrs because a surgeon couldn't get to it before then. Severe pain. I was sick and vomiting the whole time because my kidney was completely blocked and going toxic. They knocked me out the next day and went straight up my dickhole with a laser and chopped up the kidney stone so I could piss it out. My ureter was so sliced up and swolen they had to keep it open with a stent so I could piss. I woke up and they told me I had to piss ASAP and I could leave after I pissed. Let me tell you. I was sweating it was so painful. Piss was orange from blood and it felt like I was pissing sand. Doc gave me a bottle of morphine and sent me home.

I had to get the stent out a couple weeks later. The doc told me he would numb me up beforehand. I was expecting an epidural or something. I go to the doctor and got up in a saddle chair, so my ass hole was staring straight at this dude as he pulls out a Q-tip with numbing gel. Fkn LOL. I was expecting a little more than a Q-tip with numbing gel. He sticks the Q-tip up my dickhole. As if that wasn't bad enough, he then grabs a massive scope and shoves it like 10" right up my dickhole. I literally screamed "HOLY FUK!". He grabbed the stent with the scope and yanked this 12" stent out like he was starting a lawnmower and I started uncontrollably pissing everywhere. One of the worst experiences in my life.

Went home and took a couple morphine pills and curled up in the fetal position on the couch for the rest of the day.

Moral of the story: Drink lots of water

When my co-worker gets stones, the dr puts a stent in with a dam string hanging out so the guy can yank it out himself after the stone passes.

I always cringe when he talks about it.

3 of my family members have had them, so I imagine I will suffer at some point, but drinking 5 bottles of water a day has been successful so far. Sorry you’re going through this. At least when they pass the pain subsides.

I did this after my last one a couple years ago. It was "weird" for sure . . . but FAR better than the option of having them go back up with something to pull the stent out. Have had stones 3 times. Usually they pass. This last one, I passed a 6mm and then had a couple more still in the kdney. Had them go in and get them to start with a clean slate and the stent went in during surgery.

OP, if it does end up being a stone . . . be sure to catch it and have it analyzed. You want to find out what kind of stone. The most common is calcium oxalate and there are dietary things you can do to help mitigate. And if the CT scan confirms a stone, get your doc to prescribe Flomax!!!

I've had a high sodium processed food diet all my life, even now. And I don't drink water, only diet coke / coke zero. I'm 26 years old and never had a kidney stone, been this way for like 15+ years. Best start drinking more water now.
