back to back reboots of my fave 80s childhood cartoon go woke....

As a young lad growing up in the 80s, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe was my jam, had all the shows on VHS, all the action figures, Castle Grayskull, Snake mountain etc etc..

Target audience: young males that were my age.
Formula: Jacked dude lifts heavy sh!t, smashes boulders with his bare hands, decimates all the bad guys

Mildly interested when Masters of the Universe Revelations came out in August. (more of a sequel to the original than a reboot) Animation looks great at first glance, but....
They write off He-man and skeletor in the 1st episode and the rest of the series is all about two females (Teela and Evil-Lynn) who were supporting cast in the original show.

Then Netflix releases a reboot.
Animation looks like a 3D kiddie show, high pitched voices meh.

Guess who's front and center... Teela again, only now as a black chick

And remember Ram Man? (had a helmet on and would smash through things with his dome) Well now Prince Adam's bestie is a chick with a helmet who likes smashing into things with her head.

why...
They're alienating the target audience of the OG show and the audience that they ARE targeting doesn't and will never have any interest in He-man

Cliffs:
OPs fave 80s cartoon rebooted twice in last month
Both are now girl power shows
OP is rustled
PRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1
