Is love even real?

Alert: dear diary post lol

Back when I was in love, I read somewhere it’s just a chemical reaction in the body and didnt quite get it. Well fast forward many years, im with the same chick and we care for each other - she says she loves me but I’m not able to say it back to her due to many reasons - one being the misc (all the education - thanks boys and girls!!)

I see through all the manipulations, on demand neediness and a day later aloofness, wierd behavior and some other events. Fuk man, disturbing.

Not sure if it’s the women of these days or they’ve always been that way. Don’t think most of them are capable of loving. I keep my guard up and don’t fall for it even when she’s acting all lovey dovey. Some days do feel bad, but then remember the days when we’re having a rough day and say fuk it

Yes and No

No: it’s not some magical thing where you meat a soul mate.

Yes: is a very very strong bond you have or create with someone. It serves a purpose. It’s still a great thing to experience.

There is science behind it. Just google it. They’ve done studies with dogs and they experience similar emotions towards their family at a much more baseline level.
