Anyone build a bowl sink / vessel top vanity? Couldn't you just use an old dresser?

You can buy the vessel / bowl on top vanities anywhere, but the vanity is hard to find! Maybe I'm not searching the right terms, but then I thought to myself... they sell the sinks for like $100, and then when you google the combo's, they are like $1400, and they don't sell them at the big box stores.

Then I got to thinking.... It's ONE hole, and a self contained bowl that sits on top of a "vanity".... why not just use some old furniture, or even modern new piece off like amazon or something that's not labeled a "vanity", drill a hole, and presto?

Anyone do this?

those are made to look cool (which is debateable) not for functionality.

My sink only has a 1cm raised lip above the counter and i hate it. Its much easier to clean the counter if the counter is above the sink. BRB shaving with electric razor and hairs fall on the counter top but counter top is lower than sink so cant just swipe into sink.

This is the best sink design, where sink is recessed below the counter top. More practical.

Much better, and it doesn't look fukking stupid. Sometimes I also like to lean on the counter top while brushing my teeth, can't do that on that stupid bowl thingy.

Yeah, people use furniture for vanities all the time.
They got little baby legs that stand so low
you got to pick 'em up just to say hello.
