Good to hear about Silent Hill. Hopefully they get some good talent.

Metal Gear is one and possibly the only one series that cannot be done (properly) without one specific guy. It's like doing Pulp Fiction 2 without Tarantino.

metal gear without kojima would be an off-brand metal gear

if konami is smart, they won't try to emulate the previous games and will treat it as a complete reboot, not try to make it canon at all and have a very distinct style apart from the previous games

I'd kill to see a new, third person Castlevania title.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow was like this perfect "Halloween" game right from the opening, and while some of the game's designs might not work today like the camera, they could probably adjust it to more of an action-RPG style that would be incredible.

I liked the one on N64 back in the day.

Metal gear with kojima I'd blasphemy. If they brought him back? I'd legit be the first person on earth to pre order

You can't be the first when I'd be the first.

Reality is Kojima aint going back and honestly after how unfinished MGS5 was and all the rumors of how that was the product of the Konami Kojima relationship do we even want that? Best thing s we could hope for is Kojima or someone like Sony buys the IP and Kojima makes the next MGS game on his own.

Before metal gear survive, I was will to give it a chance. I even forgave the raiden game. Now, nah. They'll fukk it up the more I think about it. They won't take it serious like RE2 remake.

Kojima has been off his rocker since Snake Eater. The whole story just became a mess for the sake of being a mess and the gameplay suffered because there was a 30 minute cut scene every 5 minutes of gameplay.

I would love a Kojima-less MGS. Bring back David Hayter though.

just make a 2d castlevania. stop with the 3d nonsense, its not the same thing.

The 2d ones they made on 3ds and GBA were great.

Make one in 4k HDR, it would look amazing. PS4 could do this. Dont fuk it up

I just beat MGSV a couple days ago and I've played the rest of the ones Kojima made (including Peace Walker). Best series of all time, but Konami these days seems like a joke.

I kind of agree. I wish Kojima had a good editor.

Personally I want a new Splinter Cell, but new Ubi messes everything up.

Blacklist was sick, it needs a sequel.

Edit:
Oh damn that article actually says some cool stuff.

Also they're willing to contract out Silent Hill and multiple Silent Hill games are being created simultaneously. Whoa.
Having just beat the game, I hated how it felt like it took so long to do everything. I have that problem with a lot of open world games though. But especially in MGSV, I felt like it just didn't work.

My favorite is 3 and it sounds like they are maybe remaking it? All of the games are good though.

But this scene was a really satisfying send off for the series with my 2 favorite characters (spoilers)

This is the biggest reason it won't happen. Even if Sony wanted to buy the IP for him he probably has no interest.

Underrated gem. Really felt like the predecessor to God of War and Dark Souls.

- Castle stage, fighting the giant bull, don't jump or you explode.
- Mansion section with hot vampire chick in red, hedge-maze with chainsaw Frankenstein
- Fighting Death
- Boss rush section where you fight mini-bosses over and over to progress with the stone slabs, with some of the wonkiest platforming ever. Used to play this section to Ride the Lightning
- Floaty crystal platforms level

Brojima doesnt need the silent hill franchise ... He can just work on his own horror title tbh.

But pretty damn keen on a mgs 1/2 remake ... I dont think kojima needs to be on it either tbh. If sony can lease off the ip or something just for remakes, they've already got a competent as fuk studio who have a track record in remaking games through bluepoint. As much I love mgs 3, I'd love to play 1/2 .... I played mgs 1 for a while when I was a kid, but I was far too young to get into it and to actually finish it/know what I was doing lol.
