Just fukkin LMAO if you haven't found God SRS

I use the word God loosely... Any kind of higher power or profound understanding of the depths of this universe and life is a form of God in my book. If you're still a nihilistic degenmaxxing science worshipper in 2021 I have some bad news brah... The evil has taken root very deep and you need saving. The good news is that you can save yourself by following your human instincts. Spend as much time outdoors as you can, stop using drugs and alcohol, and build a family. Lift. Shed everything piece by piece and rebuild from the ground up out of love for yourself. God wants this for you brah srs.

We all must ask the "why" in our life to find our purpose.

Honestly religion/a higher power and finding something bigger than yourself is phenomenal in a person's life. I guarantee we would have lower rates of crime, suicides, mass shootings, and mental health issues.

It's less about religion and more about how parents raise their children. You don't need religious texts to be a competent parent or person.

The "why" can be whatever makes us happy, as long as it doesn't intrude on or rob others of their personal liberties/freedoms

I’m supportive of God and religion, though, I doubt it’s real.

Still, I think it teaches worthwhile behaviors. Practicing faith is not always easy, and generally religion encourages you to avoid behaving like a degenerate.

Yes you have the crazy religious people that take it too far and do more harm than good. But for most sane, well balanced people religion is a positive and I think more people should find their way back to believing in something of a higher power.
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Right - it's not necessarily religion but the social cohesion religion creates.

Even nationalism to some degree can be a 'religion'.

Critics of religion always point out that much of religion isn't proven and it relies on the individual to have "faith" in it. Still a lot of atheists have not replicated what religion has in society throughout time. Religion has even evolved with people like a social virus which is pretty amazing when you think about it.

To be clear I was raised to be a "moral" atheist and despite my newfound spirituality I do not "believe" in any one religion and certainly not any religious text written by men. I agree with everything you said in this post. I also believe a lot of people claiming to be atheists literally pray to science and politicians just as a Christian, Jew, or Muslim might pray to their lord. They seek answers and solutions from fallible societal figureheads while shielding their eyes from the reality that those same figures are the ones creating the problems and questions that they want solved.

With that being said, by getting in touch with nature both externally and my own internal nature as a man, having a family, and committing year after year to the personal growth that something inside told me I was capable of, I have found an understanding of life that I can't really put into words and is much bigger than anything I've ever heard a person describe. I don't conceptualize God to be an anthropomorphic figure in the sky but rather a feeling that we can tap into, like taking off a pair of sunglasses and seeing the world with your bare eyes. It might hurt at first and you'll want to put that comfortable veil back on, but if you practice it gets easier. The truth is right in front of us we've just been trained not to see it.

I agree except the puritainism about drugs. Soft stuff like TRT can improve people's lives who do not have anything else going for them or on the horizon.

I agree with this as well. Sobriety is not necessary but the vast majority of people who engage in "recreational" drug and alcohol use are in denial that they use it as a crutch and have unlearned how to enjoy themselves without substances. I think learning to be social and unwind after a long day without mood-altering substances is crucial for self discovery and being a properly functioning human.

Daily reminder that Christianity is a plagiarized and simplified version of Ancient Greek mythology (or possibly several others) that came 100s of years before it.

Zeus and Perseus story is awfully similar to God and Jesus.

"King Acrisius of Argos was warned by an oracle that he would be killed in time by a son born to his daughter Danae. So he promptly lockedDanaeup in a tower and threw away the key. But the godZeus got in, disguised as a shower of gold, with the result thatPerseus was born."

"The virgin birth of Jesus is the Christian doctrine that Jesus was conceived by his mother,Mary, through the power of the Holy Spirit and without sexual intercourse.[1] It is mentioned only in Matthew 1:18–25 and Luke 1:26–38,[2]
....
18: Now the birth of Jesus the Messiah took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been engaged to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit.
19: Her husband Joseph, being a righteous man and unwilling to expose her to public disgrace, planned to dismiss her quietly.
20: But just when he had resolved to do this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for the child conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
21: She will bear a son, and you are to name himJesus, for he will save his people from their sins."
"

The difference? Fuk having 12 gods, lets roll them all into one all-encompassing one for the dummies.

But hey, it worked! Wood rep the author of The Bible, what a genius!

For your time, let's see some other comparisons that came100s of years before"Christianity":
