Its definitely made in eyes wide shut manner (that movie is a masterpiece well its kubrick so of course it is) so I mean I dont want to blast peele and say he copied the movie because I mean it has a very similar tone and I got the vibe from it because I know key and peele and their whole duo material and their humor is pretty dark so I would say there is some form of inspiration from kubrick but also his work with keegan in their sketches which are for the books.
