I actually recently was watching some episodes. The show is pretty stupid actually, but that's part of it's charm and they managed to make it work imo.

Definitely not the "best" though.

I purchased an episode on iTunes, but there were no music videos. What episodes have the videos?

The originals did on MTV, but I have no clue where you find them online - they all seem to have them cut out. I don't know if it's some sort of copyright/licensing thing or what.

Yeah I bet it has to do with legal issues. Watched a bunch on youtube a few years back and none had the music video commentary. The vague, obscure bands that they found sometimes were hilarious.

Beavis and Butthead was brilliantly idiotic. I distinctly remember this one episode where Clinton is speaking at their school and something happens with Daria where the boys are the ones that will ask questions to the president. At some point, the secret service go on some rant about how the president will enter the auditorium and yadda yadda. Silence, then one of them laughs and says, "heh, he said enter."

Took a few seconds to sink in then I remember fuking losing my schit and will never forget that brilliant comment.

I saw a complete DVD set including the movie at Target for $30 a few years ago. Snapped that baby up without thinking twice.

great show, tons of nostalgia.
There was some cleverness in there with the adolescent humor.
Definitely not the GOAT, but it's a good one

Looking back, Beavis and Butt-Head was actually a pretty good show. The bits where they sit in front of the TV and critique music videos were very underrated, and way ahead of its time. Obviously the way they did it was pretty crude, but that was part of the premise of their characters. They were doing music/music video critiques for comedic effect back in 1993 in a way that wasn't really seen again until about the late-2000's on formats like youtube.

As for the crude/immature humor in general, lots of people bitched about it being stupid. Honestly, people like that are usually a bunch of uptight douches. That was the main premise of the show - watching a couple of idiot cartoon characters do stupid chit and laughing at how stupid they were. And if they paid any attention at all for an episode or two of the show, they'd realize that Beavis and Butt-Head are by far the dumbest characters. Half the point of the show is seeing everyone around them being annoyed by having to deal with their stupidity.

No, but that's not to say it isn't one of the most memorable or one of the top icons of the time.

I've been doing a series watch-through the past couple weeks, and it's still making me legit laugh quite often. Currently at the beginning of series 3, which IIRC was when they really hit their peak. Some of the earlier episodes were all-time classics, but the animation gets better here at some point. I get so amped when a music video I remember being hilarious, or a certain story scene, pops up and all the memories from my childhood come flooding back immediately. I recommend old B&B fans to grab a torrent and do the same!
