How were the lead guys in "Goodfellas" not morbidly obese? (srs)

All they did was drink and eat sh*tloads of pasta and other Italian food the whole time. Not once did you see them exercise or workout. And pepsi doesn't increase the metabolism anywhere near enough to counteract that.

henry hill was a junky in real life I remember seeing an interview of him on youtube and he was zoning out the whole time and he was already close to his death an old man.
