A mother beats up her daughter because she was drunk. Tell me who was drunk.
This goofy riddle is driving me crazy, but I think, the way the sentence is structured, it must be the Mother, because the sentence would say "because the daughter was drunk" if that's what it was supposed to mean. But it could also be the opposite.
