I honestly would not be mad at all if the left actually started focusing on UBI and a keener eye at the redistribution of economic power, not wealth. I'm pretty sure modern leftist UBI would come in the form of tokens to be redeemed at participating retailers but imagine every worker with a strike fund oh god i'm so close

If UBI came *purely* from the top, and from companies who are focusing on automation, it could possibly work, but we know it will come from the middle class. Inflation will continue, and anyone making 150k a year will be labeled 'rich' and will be taxed out the ass. I really have no hope that the idiots running our country will right the ship - the dollar is destined to crash soon anyway and when that happens no one really knows how the world will shake up. There's a real danger the yuan could become dominant.

I do not think an actual strategy for ending BLM and other life-ruining identity politics is foolish. I'd love to hear more about your ideas, though the rest of your thread makes me think this is about something else entirely.
