Haven't ate yet this month srs

I havent ate since mcdonalds sunday night and I'm not even hungry, just drinking coffee during working hours. I even got a workout yesterday around the 24hr point of my fast

How long should I keep this up for? Is it possible to go a whole month without eating food, only water and coffee?

Every time I take my multi without a meal it makes me nauseous af for a few minutes though. Maybe I can try mixing that and my other supps in my coffee but they all say take "preferably" with a meal so I've avoided them so far. I hate the nauseous feeling when I don't take it with food

As long as you are careful, have someone around, and don't do dangerous chit like driving cars or hiking alone

Saw some video of a guy on liveleak who passed out during driving because he was fasting. Almost crashed into others, think he got a seizure or some chit

Coffee alone is not ideal as it can hurt stomach lining. Fasting can also increase bilirubin and bad gut bacteria, so its not just all that even though advocates think it is. Its beneficial for many of our systems, but not all

Its probably better to be more systematic about it and do it for 24/36/48/whatever hours every once in a while instead of stretching it until you pass out and hit your head like rich piana

"In the 1971 edition of The Guinness Book of Records, Barbieri's 382-day fast was recognized as the longest recorded"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angus_Barbieri%27s_fast

you can fast for quite a decent amount of time if you have sufficient bodyfat and consume electrolytes and such

He was supposedly force fed food, which is a very heavy and a dramatic to happen. So he got calories in, just not solid food or willingly.

But lol if anyone thinks one case 50 years ago makes it safe by any means

I plan on driving to the gym and working out for as long as I fast. I think it'd be cool to go like 30-40 days without eating

I'd probably lose a lot of weight too

Damn. That's a long fast

An electrolyte supp probably makes sense to not die

Nah that's not the same guy.

This guy fasted on purpose.

The guy who was force fed food was "Dennis Galer Goodwin" who was on hunger strike, it says right there in the wiki article i posted. His 385 didn't count because he was force fed food.

Angus Barbieri however, did a legit fast:
"For 382 days ending on 11 July 1966, he consumed only vitamins, electrolytes, an unspecified amount of yeast (a source of all essential amino acids) and zero-calorie beverages such as tea, coffee, and sparkling water, although he occasionally consumed small amounts of milk and/or sugar with the beverages, especially during the final weeks of the fast. He quit working at his father's fish and chip shop, which closed down during the fast. Barbieri's starting weight was recorded at 456 pounds (207 kg) and he stopped fasting when he reached his goal weight of 180 pounds (82 kg). After his weight loss, he moved to Warwick and had two sons. Barbieri died in September 1990."

I'm not arguing it's safe for most people to do it this long, just pointing out it's been done. Angus Barbieri was obviously massively obese to begin with, and AFAIK he did have doctors advising/monitoring him. Most people can do a 2 week or so fast pretty safely though, as long as they consume electrolytes since they are not fat soluble.

I've done a few 72 hour ones and they aren't that bad.

there was this study where a guy fasted for 382 days (yep more than a year) under clinical supervision, so you can go on.
Results
Body weight loss

During the 382 days of the fast, the patient's weight decreased from 456 to 180 lb. Five years after undertaking the fast, Mr A.B.'s weight remains 196 lb.
Prolonged fasting in this patient had no ill-effects.

"Haven't ate this month" Not even two days in. OP really sounds like an overdramatic 14 year old girl.

yeah someone already posted about that guy

It's pretty impressive he had the discipline to fast for that long, having a lot of fat to lose helped
