Anyone remember Afghanistan?

$2-6 Trillion taxpayer dollars spent over decades, thousands of American lives lost for nothing. We're only a couple months post disastrous withdrawal and no one really thinks about that war that was supposedly so important lol. Don't get me wrong though, I'm glad we're out.

And Americans didn't do chit to hold the government accountable for wasting so much money lol. No mass protests or anything, just let them rob trillions from taxpayers. Crazy.

I get what you're trying to say, but the GWOT had a huge impact on culture in a lot of different ways. Just walk on a college campus and count how many backpacks you see with some MOLLE webbing. Police departments are rocking full multicam and rolling around in MRAPs. Even something as simple as drinking coffee is inherently connected with the war, depending on your choice of brand.

OEF ending up being a colossal fukup due to the way we pulled out, but those 20 years of war are going to be engrained in our DNA for a long time.
And relief washes over me in an awesome wave

Everyone says the war is over. Who said? The usa? The final day of pull out they suicide bombed the airport killing hundreds just to take out some navy seals that our own gov tipped them about. Now hundreds and thousands of so called afghan refugees are pouring all over the world. Tons to Germany and the USA. Germany is upset about it. I think it’s a reason why a lot of people are quitting the airport jobs along with the vaccines. My girlfriend took a flight this week and said the USA millitary had a few guys against the wall when they landed. It’s only a matter of time boys.

wasnt for nothing. thousands of girls were allowed to get education and jobs for 20 years.... to get to experience the american way. but yeah it has now been reset.... at least we saved a couple generations
