If you're a main character, you can literally become godlike by leveling up.

GTA, San Andreas, you could bench 315, for what was it? 33 times in under an hr of training?

The Elder Scrolls game, just slowly take your time, max out all of your stats, and you're pretty much invincible and filthy rich
