Help me out brothers

Just reaching out to misc bros. I'm going through a very ****ty time and need my fellow miscers to help cheer me up.

Basically getting divorced and just been isolated and keeping to myself. Stayed alone for Thanksgiving and will likely be doing the same for the rest of the holiday season.

Thanks for listening brothers,

Things will get better

I’m more at peace and happy during boring daily life just because of how bad things were at some points in my life. Clearing out built up damage just leaves room for having a wonderful life.

Hang in there brah.

As cliche as it might sound, I have been thinking about downturns differently. Not as "bad" per se, but different in a "one door closes, two more open" kind of way.

Looking back all major events however chitty at the time have greatly worked out for the better. Now I dont fear "bad" things happening, and haven't felt down or depressed over anything in years and years. Matter of fact, every so often I play over really awful scenarios in my head so hopefully nothing will surprise me.

Get after it brah, only up from here!

Sorry bro, I went through it myself.

I didn't initiate it, and felt enormous guilt for a couple years about my kids not growing up in a 2 parent home.

I'm coming up on 10 years next July, everything worked out for the best. My ex-wife needed therapy and wasn't going to get it until something like this happened, and I am happier with her not in my life. My kids are well adjusted, and get close to straight A's with a B here and there. They have friends with divorced parents they can relate to and they are involved in sports and extracurriculars.

It's no fun to go through, but things will get better. Give it time.

The neighbours on both sides of me are in their 40’s , so probably married for over a decade .

I started thinking about this, and the neighbour behind me got divorced . Hard to comprehend when you really think about it . There was kids involved in all these marriages to unfortunately, as I really hate to see that .
Srs,it seems like sloots like to use a guy as a stepping block so they be self sufficient later on and just go back to slooting.
I don’t have to patience to take care of a child in an adult body , so never married.

I hope things work out for you . I’m sure it seems bad now, but in years to come you’ll look back and realize it was for the better

Praying for you bro, really sorry to hear that.

With all things like this that feel really bad, if you stay the path and do your best, one day in the future you will look back on them as a blessing. You just have to have faith. I know that doesn't help a ton right now, but it's the truth.

For more immediate help, when I'm feeling really sad or bad or whatever, it's really helpful for me to observe those feelings in myself, observe the physical manifestations of them. When I do that and shine the light on them, they seem to just disappear.

Stay away from the drugs and alcohol, it will only make everything way worse.

That's tough, op. It might not feel like it right now but life will return to normal. A new normal, yes, but you can be happy again.

The stress, anxiety, and depression is real, though. Even if it just on the misc reaching out and unloading is a good thing to do.

You're gonna make it brah.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.
