General anesthesia

Any brahs gone under? What was it like? Im a month out from hip surgery and absolutely fukin terrified, having nightmares and chit. Hold me misc

You aren't aware of the "going under" part of it, if that's what you're wondering. One minute you're laying there and the doctor is making small talk and the next you're laying there and you're like "wtf did it happen already?" and the doctor's like "yup."

general is literally like falling asleep instantly. you wont feel a thing. And if you are having a painful/discomforting surgery you wont feel anything after you wake up either... It will be gradually more painful when the meds start running out slowly. And they will top it up if you want them to. Its not that bad and you have a strong say in how much meds/pain you can handle

I just had Gynecomastia this past Wednesday under general anesthesia. I was pretty nervous and scared too (more than the actual procedure) but nah dude it’s actually a pretty cool thing. You knock out fast, then next thing you know you’re in recovery.

These are specially trained doctors. Anesthesia has come a loooong way. The probability of something bad happening is very slim, and even if something happens, they usually have fast access/first access to a hospital.

You’ll be okay breh!

Look up Steve-O’s videos on YouTube of him going under anesthesia. They’re pretty funny and will put you at ease

I was not even remotely afraid at all. I didn't even know having anxiety over anesthesia was a thing lmao SRS. The dr was like "don't worry, it's normal to feel nervous." and I was like..... "wait, what?"

I will say that waking up from surgery was the best feeling of all time; I legit felt like I had just slept 16 hours, and I was in highschool again waking up during summer break. It was fuarking incredible. I can see why Michael Jackson was hooked on the stuff.

It’s like being dead. Absolute deletes your consciousness. Terrifying. You somehow wake up. Not fun, especially when they put the mask on your face. And the IV just draws your life away so fast.

The feeling of being essentially killed was painless but unbelievably horrible.

When I woke up I felt very good. Not sick or even in pain. Felt great honestly.

It's pretty sweet. Last time I got it before surgery i got a warm feeling over my face and thats the last thing i remember. Woke up about an hour later like nothing had happened. Nothin to worry about, anethesiologist get paid a chit load to do what they do and they do it well.

It’s not as bad as your making it out. I’ve been under several times and it’s like going to sleep happy as hell and then waking up. Depending on the procedure sometimes it’s waking up to pain but you’ll be fine bro.

You blink and it's done. It wasn't like a good sleep to me. It was an instant from when I went out to when I woke up, both times.

First time, my subconscious saved me. My recovery nurse was smokin hot. While I was waking up (you're groggy for a bit) instead of hitting on her, I was telling her how to stay in a long relationship (married 16 years at that time). Had no idea my wife was in the room too.

Don't understand cucks being afraid or worried either. I got it for wisdom teeth removal and just woke up not knowing where I was for 5 mins then moved on.

I thought OP meant local anesthesia at first since the topic suggested concern.

Had it a few times. Its kinda cool actually. You simply fall asleep in seconds and then you wake up like wtf happened? Kids get it done all the time for different procedures since they cant be made to stay still otherwise.

You will say some lulzy things when you just wake up. I always say some dumb chit and then go wtf?
