Do you think school shooters will be deterred knowing that their parents will pay too

I was thinking of this recent Ethan Crumbley case and noticed that past school shooters most of the time don't kill their own family members, so I guess there's still some humanity left in them. I mean not always a good portion of the time like in Sandy Hook they seem so off the rails that they don't give a fu.

For the ones that do though do you think the thought of their parents going to prison too might give them second thoughts or stop them from carrying out their plans?

They probably blame their parents for their problems too so no I don't think they'll care.

I doubt they care if their parents go to prison. They’re teens and most parents are annoying to them at that age.

Maybe more parents will look out for red flags with their kids, though. The kid definitely had issues and I’m sure they had been going on for awhile.
