This is one of the few forums that are honest (for the most part) about how important looks are. It's common sense but people deny it all the time and it's because deep down inside they don't want something they can't control to be such a big factor in their chances of success in practically everything important in life.

Looks aren't the sole determining factor of success in life. I think of it as a spectrum. You're going to have greater chances of success (more opportunities, people more willing to overlook shortcomings etc.) when you're better looking.

Looks are important, but not as important as the misc would lead you to believe.
