Just finished watching a 5 hour WWII documentary

Not often i can sit at the monitor and stay focused for so long but it was actually extremely enjoyable, interesting and pretty emotional at times.

Small summary that some people not be aware of

Stalin had a pact with Hitler at the start of the war, the pact only broke when Hitler attacked Russia without warning because he hated commies

Stalin was as just as bad if not worse than Hitler in many ways.

The documentary was brutal, showed a ton of dead bodies and people dying, i got emotional after seeing dead children / babies dying of starvation or being burnt alive

Churchill was a gigachad and so were the Brits (no bias)

Overall it's pretty worrying how its acceptable to be a communist these days on social media, the atrocities caused by that ideology were on another level, most people have no idea. They even put the concentration camps back to work once they took Berlin, and that was AFTER they raped pretty much every German woman in the City, lol.

After watching it, would you say there are any similarities between US liberals and the Nazis? If so, what?

Cheers.

Censorship, anti freedom of speech and encouraging violence towards political opponents are all components of fascism yea, but you don't need to watch a WWII documentary to know this.

immediately thought of Annie Hall - The sorrow and the Pity.

WWII is like somethin out of a comic book. the one time in modern history where the world was aware of and witness to true evil on a large scale.

It was a non aggression pact, not an alliance

Churchill was the only one who would stand up to Stalin at the conferences, that is true, but he still couldn't prevent stalin taking control of most of eastern europe as well as central and eastern germany.

Yea, alliance might of been the wrong word, they still worked together though

For example they both invaded Poland at the same time, Germany from the West and Russia from the East

sure they did bud. despite no physical evidence of it. have you seen what modern 'gas chambers' look like compared to ww2 'gas chambers'? hint: they don't have wooden doors. and usually when you build a crematorium, the chimney is attached to the building, not 20 feet away out of the ground. just saying.

Yeah Hitler and Stalin were the only monsters

It was after all them who ended the war by dropping nuclear weapons on cities with thousands of innocent people to die and millions of people to lose their homes forever

It is really funny how many American's look at WW2 and see us as the ultimate good guys fighting the evil bad guys

What we did was just as cruel and atrocious as what the other side was doing, we just won.

Like it or not those nuclear bombs saved millions of lives, both American and Japanese. The only other option would of been a full scale land evasion, and you don't need to know much about WWII to know what that would of resulted in.

so in your mind its okay to kill thousands of innocent women and children who had nothing to do with the war and destroy millions of peoples homes they have had for centuries because we threw a temper tantrum and decided thats how to end a war?

Thats a dangerous way of thinking and to be proud of what we did is extremely strange to me

Did it end the war and ending the war was good? yes, but the way of doing it was not good, it want noble, it was completely disgustingly dishonorable and a cheap tactic that was TOTALLY immoral

If you look at the war objectively and what we did to end it its quite atrocious.

I'm sure the nazis would have settled with taking over a handfull of countries and then decided to live in peace and harmony with the world after that
