What is the best method to clean hard-wood flooring?

Just moved into a new pad, dont wanna ruin the floor. Is a Swiffer with a polish the best thing to use or just plain ole' water and a rag?
(these are my opinions i am not a licensed broker by trade)

Composites can be cleaned with mild cleaners. If it’s real wood, Murphy’s oil soap is the GOAT. Smells so good and keeps your wood floors from drying out, cracking, and conditions it nicely.

no idea actually. seems like the faux stuff
