Self help books lol.

I do not know how much reading leads to self-improvement. I think social exercises in the direction you want will do more.

Depends on what kind of self-improvement you are looking for. I have a few books on various philosophical topics I could recommend, depending. Jordan Peterson's books are good (despite the critics) and I have a few others from Rollo May and CG Jung

Maybe self help is wrong word, more interested in dealing with different types of personalities and human nature

I'm fortunate to make a good living, but I'm just getting bored as **** with and by people.

I wrote a book I prefer to the soft science books I've read so far. It describes human nature through competition, as interests look more or less the same after this.

can confirm, read 12 Rules For Life.

better yet, watch/listen to his Personality lectures from 2017 on YouTube. That will help you specifically with dealing with different personalities, I think more than any book could.

Ever wonder why actual successful people don't write these books?

Mostly good recommendations srs
this is an incredible list and a really good way to get started OP.
my only addition would be 11/22/63 & The Stand by Stephen King.

I read a nice ADHD self-help book once and if I wasn't convinced I had ADHD before I read it I certainly was after it
