New Ivermectin "not all that good"

"Molnupiravir was initially heralded by public-health officials as a game-changer for COVID-19, but full clinical-trial data showed lower-than-expected efficacy."

Results showed that the antiviral decreased the risk of hospitalization from COVID-19 by 30% (down from a 50% reduction observed early in the trial). “That’s not all that good,” says Katherine Seley-Radtke, a medicinal chemist who develops antiviral drugs at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. “It’s pretty lacklustre.”

"Monoclonal antibody treatments, by contrast, reduce the risk of severe COVID-19 by up to 85%. But they are costly and need to be administered intravenously".

You mean the $500 new pill they just had to make to replace the $5 pill that has worked for many years and was awarded nobel prize doesnt work as well as the original wheel that was already invented?

Shocked.

But you know damn well they will keep writing the script for the new $500/pill stuff.

Let me know when you all get tired of this.

Pfizermectin still looks promising. In the meantime, please continue megadosing vitamin D, rubbing THC into your taint, and eating plenty of broccoli sprouts, grass-fed ruminants, vitamin C to bowel tolerance etc. - you know the drill. We're going to get through this. Perhaps after COVID has settled down you Canucks can reform your healthcare system to one more like ours where it is tied to your employment and huge percentages of your population are uninsured or underinsured so that people with really good coverage don't have to wait to get their broken finger x-rayed.

The crazy part is that Merck is the company that made the original Ivermectin. They failed to copy themselves!

Probably the same thing with salt added to make it legally different enough to charge more for it.
