This whole Omicron thing is insane. In my city of over a million people cases have quadrupled in two weeks but ICUs and hospitals haven't been affected in the slightest. Just like everywhere else around the world. Everyone is fighting over rapid tests that have false positives and negatives all the time, even scalping them online. Canceling everything, lowering capacity limits and some people even screaming for another lockdown.

I think some people just love to freak out about things. I wish they would just stay locked in their basements and not go out so the rest of us can live our lives normally.

And if I say this on my public social media, I'd get obliterated so I have to say it here.

I moved back to SD earlier this year. Masks were on their way out and most people seemed happy to get on with their lives. In comes the Omicron variant and most people turn into little sheep at the drop of Emperor Newsoms mandate. Really unbelievable. I got kicked out of my bank that I make deposits in almost daily for not wearing a mask on day 1 of the mandate.
