Misc was at its peak.
Easy to get sloots on dating apps.
No PC culture, feminism was a fringe subject relegated to discarded old crazy hags.
You could crack all kinds of jokes in good fun and not be accused of racism/sexist/etc
You could speak your mind without fearing any repercussions/censorship.
Social media hadn't yet been weaponized for politics/social causes/etc and you used it to keep up with your buddies/share funny memes.
What the hell happened? Everything just seems so on edge now and there's so much division across every ideological channel.

10 years isn't long enough for the golden nostalgia to kick in. Even back in 2011 wokeism was starting to kick in and things were going downhill.
1990s though....that was a real decade. Men were men. There was no cancel culture. Movies and music were legit.

I doubt it was easier in 2014, I think in 2021 it's way easier to get girls if you're decent looking and don't have the personality of a cave troll.
I feel like PC has ruined western society on societal level, but in my day to day life I am not confronted by it directly. It could be a consequence by the circle that I am surrounded with. Then again, I've come across a bunch of weirdos that take the cake irl. In addition, new movies that came out also disappoint opposed to stuff that was produced to 2012. That said, I feel like a lot of people exaggerate this on the internet as a coping mechanism for misery. I wouldn't say that PC has ruined society, a large factor why it is so prominent could be social media, as it enabled it to normalize quicker.
Social media and smartphone development have ruined us on individual level though. I feel like the plethora of information has caused our attention spans to become fried, similarly our expectations have increased. Most people live through and for their smartphones rather than for real experiences. At least is what I've seen when reflecting back at this past decade. Also, a lot of stuff that we've looked up to to achieve when we were younger doesn't seem that interesting or hard to achieve anymore. Then you have the people in between those two extremes that struggle to reach or formulate their goals. Combining those three groups with social media puts a lot of stress on all of them, they keep comparing themselves. I feel like the generation before us, is subjectively happier than we are for this reason, as they had to put in the hard work to achieve where they are. And the only ones they compared with were the people in their circle.
Tl;dr: Millennials are a bunch of mentally weak pussies that find a name for every issue related to stress. Most of them act like simulated PC characters, no pun intended. But they'd be better off seeing the world as it is and focusing on what matters most to themselves.

Yeah there was a significant change in 2012 and then a major one around late 2014 to 2016. Lots of glitches in the matrix since 2014 as well. To me its like some kind of purgatory or dreamstate that I cant change. Just glitches everywhere. Cern also fired up in 2012 and since they found the Higgs boson nothing has felt the same. Idk if thinks changed then or around 2015 or so but something has warped reality. There is evil rising across the world and it all just kind of came out of nowhere. Man i don't remember any negativity from before 2012. It seems like that year things got dark depressing and negative overall. I remember in 2010-2011 especially everyone was so happy to socialize and talk about anything and we just went with the flow. Everyone connected with each other. Then smart phones and social media came along and things changed. It's almost like for most people their personalities got uploaded online and they are just a shell of themselves physically if that makes any sense. Not everyone is like this but this is the general vibe i get. I'm weird as **** now unless I'm in a place where socializing is forced. Like at my job I can talk normal to my coworkers but I act desperate and weird around anyone else. Even the way I talk is weird now so i cant just be trying to talk to random people about dumb ****, I'm weird now and very desperate. When I started feeling desperate is when I started to just put my head down and ignore everyone. Idk what else to do
Probably because we are going technocratic soon and will be ruled by the elites. Also the world is going crazy because of all of the leftist propaganda and conspiracies lately. And because of all of the algorithms.
Bro people are weird now days. Why should I seek therapy when people are coming up to me talking about their wife's prosthetic leg, purple hair, rupaul super heroes and Harry Potter, and other weird stories? And other than that all people talk about is Netflix and food. I get a weird effeminate vibe from men these days too. At some point I have to question this reality.
Something very weird is happening.
What are you supposed to do when people just stand around talking about Netflix shows, food and how they fixed their car and chit? Nobody talks about anything interesting ever. This is ****ing insane how I have to go sit in the chitter just to get away from this
I'm getting to the point where i question everything that was taught to us growing up. How would we know if the earth isn't flat? How do we know we went to the moon? It's just stuff the elites and government tell us.
Social media is causing mental illnesses and people are waking up to things that are causing disassociation/enlightenment
The problem is a lot of people now have to rely on material things to cope. The US is based on narcissism and material things now compared to the past generations who had great communities
Humans weren't meant to be this aware and age of Aquarius is here
You can't talk about it with people. I've tried. They call me a conspiracy theorist or just get really mad. The misc and a couple conservative subs on reddit are the only places where i get responses.

I completely shut down all of my social media accounts and hardly watch any TV anymore because it’s all propaganda now.
Even video games are getting infiltrated with this chit and everything else in general.
Art and hobbies as a whole are becoming so mediocre and commercialized/bending to PC culture first and foremost.
It almost feels like a form of cultural fascism being perpetuated across the entire country.
What’s the endgame to all of this? How do you escape it?

People have always been motivated/influenced by something/someone.
Back in the day it was parents/family/radio/leaders cuz that’s who the stimulus from coming from.
Now it’s all social media. Fast fun access. Everyone has a fuking voice. Even you and I.
These posts are influencing you and me and people reading it. Think about it.
Accept and adapt (avoid social media definitely agree)
Times are much faster and much more complicated. Information and misinformation both used to spread like wildfire. Now it spreads at the speed of light (literally)

It's only going to get worse from here. I had social media back when I was in high school too, but it was relegated to just after hours while you were on the computer and people still had this concept of your real world self. I fear that as tech keeps integrating in our lives, there's going to be a new generation that doesn't even understand this notion of a world outside of social media and having instant access to everything. Hell, there's probably now babies being born that won't know of a world where you didn't need a negative test/mask to board a fking domestic flight. Crazy times we live in.
90s to 2005ish was peak society - enough technology for convenience, but not instant access to everything or it being so pervasive in our lives that people don't even know how to be human anymore.

Maybe that was the ultimate endgame - cripple/destroy the US over time in the wake of 9/11, allow the planet to be engulfed/destroyed by leftism, and finally create the vacuum for Islam/extreme nationalism to proliferate.
Doesn't seem so farfetched now honestly.....Bin Laden was playing the long game.

I look back to mid to late 90's... those were the fukkin' days, boyos! While I'm personally in a better position now than ever, society and life in the US seemed like it was clicking on all cylinders around that time.
Guess it depends on one's age what time period they look fondly upon.

This is what everyone says about their teens and early 20's...

10 years ago I was dead broke, had no car, and lived in a roach infested basement with 5 other people.
Things are definitely better now.
Things are definitely better now.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.
