Everyone should cook
Or at least community mess halls where cooks process mostly local Fresh or cellared fruits, vegetables, meats, grains, legumes/pulses.
Preparing and consuming fresh food is the quintessential part of being alive. Processed ingredients should be emergency use only and not a part of daily consumption. Anyone who says otherwise is quite frankly wrong.

I actually just got a new Le Creuset Dutch oven for Christmas. I already made some Autumn soup in it.

It's hard to imaging and accept that there's adults out there that don't even know how to feed themselves.
I went to school with one woman (pushing 30s) who kept doing that self-deprecating brag about how 'adulting' was so hard and how she couldn't even toast bread.

I wonder how many 'extra ingredients' are ingested a year by people who eat takeout all the time
My buddies half retarded niece works at dominos full time, and I know for a fact that this girl doesn't wash her hands after she takes a ****. Shes also an obsessive nose picker. Just think of all the extra juices you get on your pizza when she makes it.

I have a 6qt Instant Pot and a 10qt crockpot. I honestly don’t ever pull the crockpot out since I use my IP as a a crockpot. My sister got me a Mealthy Crisplid, that turns my IP into an air fryer. Between the IP and air fryer lid, the crockpot is probably getting the boot soon. I’d say a 9-1 is a good way to go if you don’t have a lot of kitchen storage.

I love to cook and have been cooking since elementary school. There's a difference between making Kraft Mac N Cheese, vs making legit home made baked mac n cheese. Difference in making pasta with canned tomato sauce vs making your own pasta and your own sauce.
The only way to get better is just to do it. There's recipes all over the internet that are incredibly easy to follow. When I really started to hone in my meal prep, I started making ridiculous food that was healthy, but also delicious. My neighbors legit order out every single day and it's sad.

The things you need to make great meals
1- air fryer
2- rice cooker
3- wok
4- skillet
5- small pot
Can make just about everything you need with a combo of these tools. Saves tons of money and you will naturally eat a more well balanced diet. eating processed foods is terrible for you.

Cooking is easy when you figure out how to use basics:
Garlic
Onions
Peppers
Fat(butter, animal, etc)/oil
Salt/spice/herbs
From there it's a combo of veggies, meat, and carbs. Maybe sauce, depending.
Virtue is its own reward.

It’s definitely a legacy piece. Something that will last a lifetime and could be passed down. Just like my pots/pans I wanted something that could be a workhorse in the kitchen since I’ll be putting many miles on it. It’s a very versatile piece. You can even bake in it.
