Theres a lot of things more pathetic.
That being said, degrees are only worth as much as the amount of $$$ youre making after acquiring them. MA in anything non-stem aka Gender Studies is toilet paper

Its not that hard to make money without a degree. I can literally get a job at a warehouse or electric company making $25 -$40/hr easily.

What you learn in school is that subjects tend to clash with each other. Profits can clash with philosophy, ethics, biology, climate, etc. So its not always possible to moneymaxxx because you actually have knowledge of how things work and you have the ability to think of the future, not just eating at the moment.

I'm extremely proud of my CC education. Everyday when I make the effort to wake up and drive to school has increased my IQ, hence my worth in society. Its a large body of work that you chip away slowly. And then when its done, you can be proud because you put in the work.

None as it wasn't a crazy hard program

No, I don't regret it as it allowed me to have the bare minimum to get an entry-level job

I will say though that I could have learned just as much reading Investopedia for 6 months and following the news as I did in my entire 4-year degree

Unfortunately society values degrees

I do think there is merit in a STEM degree + accounting though

But things like finance, history, gender studies etc are probably better off learned on your own time

Plus when you go out and get a degree people act like you just moved a mountain. My associate's degree is still sitting in the mailer envelope and I'm debating whether or not I want to have it framed or wheretf I'm going to put it.

I have a BA in Biomedical Illustration.
It was fun getting it. Lots of extra work with labs and studio time.

I became a software engineer.

Agree. I have a degree from an actual university (not just cc) but there’s a difference in education and intelligence. Degrees are fairly easy tbh if you put in the effort even 50%.

How it usually goes unless you aren’t even smart enough to do anything other than ride your degree to get hired. I lol at all the liberal arts majors tho…. Imagine the anguish.
