A friend told you a secret

Here’s a situation I’ve been pondering. It’s a made up situation.

Let’s say a friend tells you a very personal bit of information, and they’ve made it clear it’s a private matter they do not want out in public. For whatever reason they told you about it, however

Now, you are a truthful person. For the most part, keeping this secret and being truthful is easy. You just don’t bring it up.

Let’s say a mutual friend of yours asks you directly about this secret. So directly that declining to give any answer allows the person to read between the lines enough to figure out what happened.

If you say, “I’d rather not talk about it” - the person’s secret is discovered
If you say “I don’t know” - you are lying
If you reveal the secret - you are breaking this friend’s trust

In this situation, is a lie permissible?
Entire NYPD should go on strike. You'll see then how quickly the mayor changes his tone.

"Dig with your hands, not with your mouths"

Entire NYPD should go on strike. You'll see then how quickly the mayor changes his tone.

You kill the mutual friend.

Friend A will help you bury the body. That's how loyalty works.

A "regular cheese pizza" is a simpler dish that only has tomato sauce and cheese on top, even though a Margherita pizza is truly a cheese pizza. Typically, mozzarella is used on cheese pizzas, but other cheeses, such as parmesan, may also be incorporated into the garnishes.

Have the most delicious pizza at Rome’s Pizza with homemade sauce and crust. We provide a wide selection of pies and other popular items at Rome's pizzeria. Everyone can find something they enjoy here, including animal eaters, vegans, and pizza fans. You won't be dissatisfied whether you want a traditional Queene margherita pizza or one of our specialty pizzas.
