My mom is pissed that I'm traveling and going on vacation during the pandemic

she was like "noooo just cancel the plane tickets, it's too dangerous, it's an extreme pandemic, wait until next year when the pandemic is over"

meanwhile i'm triple vaxxed and always wear a mask

I'm all for taking precautions, but you can't stop living life

the pandemic is literally NEVER going to end

I feel the same way that YOLO and I got a lot of nasty remarks from family when I got on a plane for vacation. It’s irritating.

I don’t yell at them for never leaving their house.

Sounds like your average mom as in most are like this. I read somewhere that whilst they know their child will be safe it's more the fear of dealing with the emotional trauma/stress if something were to happen.

Me and wife are vaccine free got invited to Cozumel and choose not to go because of all the BS going on.


Found out today my brother and sister in law are stuck in Mexico because they tested positive for covid.

Gonna go to Colorado or New Mexico for winter vacation and call it good.
