Any Accredited Investors on the misc?
An accredited investor is an individual or a business entity that is allowed to trade securities that may not be registered with financial authorities.
The “accredited investor” concept comes out of securities law dating all the way back to the Great Depression. It started with The Securities Act of 1933. Ultimately, the government wanted to keep novice investors out of investments they didn't have the knowledge or experience to thoroughly evaluate.
In order to become an Accredited Investor:
• Income of $200,000
• If married, combined income of $300,000
• Or a net worth of $1 million
Accredite Incestors can buy:
private equity
private placements
hedge funds
venture capital
equity crowdfunding
IPO's
Pre-IPO's

No. But it is the biggest scam ever. They put those limits on to “protect us” but in reality it’s just a barrier of entry put in place to keep the normies poor. Stupid people will squander away their money regardless.

I think you can get burned easy and hard in a lot of the stuff you listed OP, so I'm sure the income/net worth requirements are there to ensure participants are capable of covering losses if chit goes sideways
You also need to be playing with big numbers for it to be worth their time, you're not throwing a few hundred bucks into a company prior to IPO. If you're not making decent money or worth $1mill+, you're not gonna have the cash to get a seat at the table.
