I won't attack you for your opinion, but Elvis was so generic. No soul. Too much vibrato. Srs question. Did Elvis ever write a song?

Ray, my guy could sing soul, gospel, country, arrange music, write melodies.

Elvis was a singer not a songwriter.

Generic, no soul?? lol

Elvis was remarkably versatile. He's in multiple hall of fames.

It doesn't sound like familiar with his work apart from a handful of early hits...Typical for most people these days.

Oh well...enjoy your thread. I won't be back.

Yeah, Elvis was definitely more popular. I'll give him that. His voice just never appealed to me.

Have to be honest. Listen to Elvis way more than I listen to Ray Charles, but I did start tearing up when I heard Seven Spanish Angels with Ray Charles and Willie Nelson srs

Ray was more skilled for sure.

But Elvis is the king because of his stage creativity, versatility, stage presence and interpretation of songs.

Elvis was definitely a better performer/dancer

Ray couldn't see ****. So he just danced in his stool
As far as singing...Ray's vocal range is way broader than Elvis'
