Really though I never trust numbers from before the modern era, how the hell would anyone know the actual death toll from Black Plague is accurate?
Nobody counted then and nobody alive today can do the counting either, I don't even buy the Spanish flu numbers but it's not worth debating cause none of it really matters as long as you know it happened.

that’s true. The Black Plague numbers vary from like 20 mil to 200 mil

How else to explain the high school teacher who drove to a testing site with her teenager closed up in the trunk of her car because she was so terrified of being exposed to covid?

The woman obviously thought it was some kind of airborne death pathogen a la The Stand.

Fair, but I personally think that the Spanish flu numbers are as good as the covid numbers given that I've read covid deaths could be inflated by 25%.
